The most captivating activity(2nd reflective journel)

The activity including the panel discussion in the class proved to be highly engaging. It requires a lot of cooperation and teamwork from everyone in the group. We had a conversation in our group about how social media affects social, economic and environmental factors. we, the panelists, each have extensive knowledge in our respective industries, and we presented our perspective on the advantages and disadvantages of social media. The fact that social media has a big impact on the economy was one of the key lessons from our conversation. Social media platforms have spawned new businesses, jobs and industries while also assisting companies in expanding their customer base. But the other panelists also mentioned that social media could be detrimental to the economy.

The societal influence of social media was another topic we covered as panelists. Both as a tool for staying on touch with loved ones and as a platforms for social activism, social media can be a potent tool. We did, however, also point out that social media may also point out that social media may also have a detrimental effect on society, such as by promoting hate speech and fostering a sense of social isolation.

The environmental impact of social media was the final topic on which we discussed. The operation of social media sites uses a lot of energy, and they also produce a lot of electronic garbage. But the panelists also pointed out that social media may benefit the environment, for example by increasing awareness of environmental problems and by advocating sustainable practices.

Overall, I thought the panel discussion was quite educational and stimulating. I am appreciative of the chance to gain knowledge through the activity. Additionally, while we engaged in these activity, I immediately thought back to a house-based extemporary speech competition at primary school in which I had to stand in front of the audience and speak.
